What exactly is Kanthal Fibrothal? Yes, it ends in "thal", so it must be a Kanthal product involving fiber, but like so many of Kanthal's other products, it is much more than what you would expect at first glance. Fibrothal is a vacuum-formed ceramic fiber insulation system.There are no standard sizes or configurations of Fibrothal, because we custom-build both the insulation itself as well as the elements to fit your application. Our maximum temperature for embedded elements is 1180C and ROB (surface-mounted) elements 1300C. We can work in many different atmospheres (even carburizing), and we can even work in some vacuum applications.
