Pictured to the left is what we call a Portable Power Distribution Unit, or PDU for short. Walther Electric, manufacturer of IEC-309 pin and sleeve connectors as well as Procon rectangular DIN connectors, has been manufacturing these units at their UL-508A shop in Somerset, New Jersey for the past five years. We here at PDA think they are without a doubt one of the most innovative products we sell, and so far, we have been having fantastic success selling them in our territory.

Okay - so they look pretty neat - but what exactly is a PDU, and who uses them? Think of a PDU as a big surge suppressor that puts power where you need it safely and economically.
